Kaalm ('Kaam' means 'work/ activity' in Hindi language, while 'Calm' in English).

The card deck can be selected by the person based on the severity of mental issue and can be extended to other use cases
Input: Pressing a button
Output: Physical card ejects out with sound and light feedback
Video prototype:
The 21 day cards
Process:
There 1 RGB led, a motor, and a buzzer that reacts to the user.
-
Initially, the RGB LED glows with Red color.
-
After 3 seconds, the RGB LED turns Green indicating the button can now be pressed and a piezo buzzer makes 3 sounds from low to high frequency as a GO signal.
-
On pressing the button, the piezo buzzer makes a sharp sound and the motor makes one quick revolution. This turns the RGB LED back to Red and the cycle continues from step 2. (Buzzer is a signifier that a card is out)

Condition: Any button press action after the motor moves for the first time, won't be valid and not account for any change during the period of cool-down time. It's like the system will shut down with only a Red LED glowing for the time period of cool-down time.

The waiting time can be set to 24 hours so the user will perform only one task a day. The LED will turn green after 24 hrs and make sure the person press the button
Future Scope:
-
Mobile connectivity: Geo-location tagging and notifications will be enabled for a registered mobile device to communicate with the user
-
The card deck categories: The categories of the card deck can be extended to a wider user spectrum that needs mental health help and experiences lows in their life. The use case scenarios can be multiple and overlapping as per the known stress and anxiety causes.
-
Inclusion and accessibility: The cards can be designed to prioritize different genders, nationalities, ethnicity, and age. Children, old people, socially backward society everyone will have their own specially designed card set.
-
Reinforcement checks: Adding a condition to verify the task/ activity is performed by the user in reality by a place clue/ hint of the pending task to begin the next challenge. Subsequent activities will obtain a key to move to the next task.
-
AI engagement: With the advent of ChatGPT and smart language communication tools, the task can be integrated with live feedback and a chat option with a smart language module to accompany the user.
